Over the past few years, the City of Penitas has grown. The Penitas Police Department's Jurisdiction now covers from the Rio Grande River to the south of 5 Mile Line. The jurisdiction from the east to the west is just east of FM 2221 Street through west of Showers. We serve a population of approximately 6,400 citizens.
The Patrol Bureau is under the command of Sergeant E. Hernandez/Assistant Chief Morales. Under their command are ten patrol officers responsible for all types of calls for service.
