During last night's City Of Penitas Council Meeting, Mayor Ramiro Loya and the City Council passed a proclamation declaring April 2023 as National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The month is observed to raise public awareness about sexual assault and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence. Our Peñitas Police Department accepted the proclamation and spoke about their efforts in providing awareness and advocacy to our community.
